  • Founder and CEO

    Perianne Boring is the Founder and CEO of The Chamber of Digital Commerce, an embodiment of her decade-long commitment to driving the recognition and adoption of bitcoin, digital assets, and blockchain technology.

    With an influential background encompassing Capitol Hill, media, and advocacy, Perianne carved her path as a decisive force in the industry. In 2013, she made history as the first international network broadcast journalist to cover bitcoin, underscoring her foresight into emerging technologies.

    In 2014, Perianne's resolute conviction led to the establishment of the world's inaugural advocacy organization for the digital asset sector. Perianne Boring's tenacious leadership and tangible achievements remain instrumental in reshaping the digital landscape, propelling innovation, and amplifying the global dialogue around digital assets.

  • Ewelina worked on energy and climate policy at Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions and the American Action Forum. In addition, Ewelina worked for more than 5 years at Arbo, where she advised developers as well as the federal government on regulatory issues that arise throughout the planning, siting, construction and operation of energy infrastructure projects.

    She earned a JD from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America, as well as a BS in Geological Sciences, and a BA in Philosophy with a concentration in Public Affairs, from George Washington University.

  • Partnerships

    Alex Chizhik has over 15 years executive experience in energy and technology. His energy experience spans from the AES Corporation to the Boston Consulting Group’s Energy Practice. At BCG, Alex focused on nuclear generation, the power sector, and Mergers and Acquisitions within the Energy space. Additionally, his expertise include deep first-hand experience scaling and growing Digital Asset businesses with Okcoin/OKX and tech companies with HarrisX and Microsoft.

    Alex also serves as the COO of The Chamber of Digital Commerce.

  • Advisor

    Dr. Newsome is a Founding Partner of Delta Strategy Group. In 1998, Newsome was nominated by President Clinton and confirmed by the Senate to be a Commissioner of the CFTC in 1998. When President Bush was elected in 2000, Newsome was nominated and confirmed as Chairman of the CFTC.

    As Chairman of the CFTC, Newsome guided the regulation of the nation’s futures markets. Additionally, Newsome led the CFTC’s regulatory implementation of the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 (CFMA).

    Newsome served as one of four members of the President’s Working Group for Financial Markets, along with the Secretary of the Treasury and the Chairmen of the Federal Reserve and the SEC. In 2004, Newsome left federal service to assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). As head of NYMEX, Newsome managed daily operations of the largest physical derivatives exchange in the world.

    Today, Newsome sits on the Board of the Chamber of Digital Commerce where he helps set and execute the Digital Power Network’s policy and advocacy strategy.

  • Policy and Advocacy

    Cody Carbone leads the policy and advocacy arms of the Digital Power Network.

    Cody spent six years in the office of public policy at Ernst & Young (EY), where he led federal government engagement and advocacy efforts on issues related to financial services and technology. Cody has also spent time serving as legislative staff in the US House of Representatives and US Senate, working directly for his hometown Representative Leonard Lance from New Jersey. He has a JD and MPA from Syracuse University.

  • New York Government Affairs

    Based in Albany, New York, Alyssa Lovelace is a well-known leader in the New York State Capital with more than 15 years of expertise working in all levels of government.

    Lovelace has served in multiple in-house government relations and public policy roles where she represented organizations' legislative and policy initiatives before state, federal and local lawmakers, and regulators.

    Lovelace has developed and implemented annual legislative and regulatory strategies and implemented hundreds of grassroots advocacy campaigns, bringing together thousands of advocates. Lovelace currently serves an array of clients within the technology and environmental industries. Named a 2022 and 2018 City & State “40 Under 40 Rising Star,” Lovelace is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy.

  • Government Affairs

    Kevin Batteh, a partner of Delta Strategy Group, is a seasoned financial services lawyer with over two decades of derivatives, energy, and digital asset regulatory experience. Kevin assists clients across a range of areas including regulatory compliance, enforcement, and policy issues related to domestic and international derivatives and energy markets, as well as digital asset regulation and market structure.

    Kevin serves as the general counsel for the Commodity Markets Council (CMC) where he helped establish and represent the Power Trading Institute (now the Energy Trading Institute) as a working group of the CMC. This group served as the voice of the electricity trading industry before FERC and a number of RTOs and ISOs. Kevin was also one of the first DC government affairs professionals to represent the digital asset industry before regulators and congress when he expanded DSG’s practice to this area starting in 2014.

    Kevin began his career as a complex litigation associate at a Fortune 100 law firm. He also served as a chief trial attorney and counsel to a commissioner at the CFTC, held a senior lawyer role with the UK Financial Conduct Authority and served as special counsel and policy advisor for futures and derivatives on the Senate Agriculture Committee.

  • Policy and Advocacy

    Taylor Barr is an energy policy analyst. Taylor joins our team from the office of U.S. Senator Steve Daines (MT) where he helped craft policy for the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

  • Development

    Shadan Azali spearheads all development efforts for the Digital Power Network. With a diverse background spanning non-profits and business management, she holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University.

    Shadan is also a co-founder of Fathom Privacy, successfully acquired by Delphia. Previously, she led business development at Coral Protocol and orchestrated corporate philanthropy initiatives at Ally Bank, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and Bank of America. Notably, she steered the Global Philanthropy Forum in San Francisco and held the role of Vice President of Investor Relations at Dispatch Labs, later acquired by Perlin, a Singaporean blockchain firm. Additionally, Shadan has imparted knowledge as an adjunct professor at Columbia University and presently serves as the Development Director at The Chamber of Digital Commerce.
