Compute Markets & Access

DPN helps members buy, sell, and compare computing capacity. We pair compute market advocacy with practical tools, including a planned member marketplace and pricing discovery, to improve access, support smarter purchasing, and create new commercial opportunities.

Challenge

Computing capacity is hard to compare and hard to buy. Price and fit depend on hardware, availability, location, networking, and contract terms. Buyers need better ways to find the right service, and providers need better ways to reach customers and fill capacity. AI agents need structured data to weigh options against a workload and budget. New products such as compute futures also raise open questions about benchmarks, delivery, and oversight.

Approach

DPN pairs member-focused tools with policy advocacy grounded in how compute markets actually work. We’re building a compute marketplace that connects members looking for capacity with those offering it, along with an agent-queryable discovery tool that surfaces competitively priced options for a given need. Member feedback will guide both. Our policy work includes responding to the CFTC’s request for comment on compute futures, helping shape market rules that reflect how computing capacity is delivered and used.

Solution

DPN’s compute markets and tools agenda centers on three priorities:
  1. Build a Member Marketplace

Give members a place to offer and source computing capacity, find commercial partners, and share requirements and availability.

  2. Enable Intelligent Compute Discovery

Develop an agent-queryable tool that compares compute offerings by workload fit, price, and service terms.

  3. Shape Practical Market Policy

Advance member-informed recommendations on compute futures, pricing benchmarks, contracting, and market integrity, using operational insights to support competition and responsible market development.
